KJCS-LP is an LPTV, free-over-the-air, UHF television broadcasting facility, broadcasting on UHF channel 38 with the main transmitter located on Cheyenne Mountain, near Colorado Springs, CO. The altitude of the mountain plus the additional 100 feet of tower height makes this the equivalent of a tower approximately 3000 feet tall on the plains.

POWER

The effective radiated power of KJCS-LP is 13,200 Watts, which from its altitude covers a wide area. Although the grade "A" signal reaches mainly El Paso County, since UHF signals travel line-of-sight, the signals reach with good quality into areas outside the "rabbit-ears" range to many people who already use UHF antennas.

COVERAGE

The signals can be received in most areas from Monument around to the eastern parts of El Paso County, and south to Pueblo and Pueblo West. With good antenna systems reception may be obtained as far southeast as Rocky Ford and La Junta.

POPULATION COVERED

The signal is available to a population of approximately 375,000 people and provides Christian programming twenty-four hours a day.

SUPPORT

The station is not operated as a non-profit, contribution-supported station, but is in fact designed to make television advertising available to Christian businesses at unbelievably low rates. It is the hope of management that advertisers will prosper and therefore their increased tithes will provide greater support to local churches.

INCENTIVE

Smaller businesses will be able to make their presence known to a primarily Christian viewing audience. Christians, as well as other discerning consumers, are always seeking reliable auto repair, tire dealers, accountants, realtors, insurance agents, and service and merchandise providers.

We reach a segment of the viewing public that does not watch secular television. In Colorado Springs, this is a segment that must not be neglected in your advertising or Christian Programming!
